Recently, the Editorial Office of the IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica (hereinafter referred to as JAS ), a journal sponsored by the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), has received multiple reports from Associate Editors, Editorial Board members, Reviewers, and Authors concerning fraudulent activities. It has come to our attention that certain unauthorized individuals have been impersonating Professor Qing Long Han, Editor in Chief of JAS, and sending fraudulent emails under the subject line “JAS ” to Associate Editors, Board Members, Youth Editorial Board members, and Authors. These emails solicit wire transfers to third party bank accounts or request various forms of assistance. Such misconduct seriously infringes upon the legitimate rights and interests of the CAA and its journal, damages the academic reputation of JAS, disrupts the normal order of publication, and has generated adverse social impact.

For these reasons, the Chinese Association of Automation hereby issues the following solemn statement:

1. Facts and Position

The CAA and the JAS Editorial Office conduct all financial transactions related to JAS—including but not limited to page charges, review fees, honoraria, and other payments—exclusively through the journal’s sole official email address: jas@caa.org.cn. Formal notices regarding such matters are sent solely via this address. Under no circumstances does the CAA or the JAS Editorial Office handle monetary matters through any other email account or personal channel.

The CAA and the JAS Editorial Office have never authorized any third party or individual to contact Authors or Editorial Board members through unofficial means, nor do we ever request bank passwords, verification codes, national identification numbers, or require recipients to click on suspicious links. The CAA reserves all rights to pursue legal action against any infringing or unlawful activities that misuse the name of the CAA, JAS, or its Editor in Chief.

2. Urgent Warning and Response Guidelines

Should you receive any suspicious emails, WeChat messages, or QR code information, please immediately take the following actions:

· Do Not Trust – Do not add unfamiliar social media accounts, and do not scan QR codes from unverified sources.

· Do Not Disclose – Never reveal research data, personal identification information, bank card numbers, or SMS verification codes.

· Verify Promptly – Confirm the authenticity of any communication via the official email address jas@caa.org.cn or by calling 010 6194 3066.

· Report Immediately – If you have already added a suspicious account or made any transfer, block the contact immediately and call 110 or report the matter to your local public security authority.

3. Official Information Reaffirmed

· Journal Website: https://www.ieee-jas.com/

· Official Email: jas@caa.org.cn

· Office Telephone: 010 6194 3066

The CAA reminds all Editors in Chief, Associate Editors, Editorial Board Members, Youth Editorial Board Members, Authors, and Reviewers associated with JAS to remain vigilant and guard against deception. In case of any doubtful communication, please contact the CAA immediately for verification. If you confirm that you have been victimized by fraud, please report the incident to the public security authorities without delay.

The Chinese Association of Automation remains firmly committed to academic integrity and to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of all researchers and journal participants. We stand ready to join hands with the broader community to strengthen the collective defense against fraud.
